All our cabins and cottages are designed for couples and are single bedroom units with the exception of the Big House which is a three bedroom, 3000 square foot vacation rental, available for six to twelve guests (just depending on how friendly you are to each other).
Can I Bring My Kids / Toddler / Baby?
Better find a babysitter, as we are an adults-only facility and do not accept anyone under the age of twelve. Besides, this is a getaway, right?
Do You Provide Rollaways or Can I Bring an Air Mattress for a Third or Fourth Guest.
No, sorry...our maximum occupancy per unit (with the exception of the Big House) is two guests.
Do You Allow Weddings on the Property?
There are lots of venues available for hosting weddings throughout Fredericksburg, unfortunately we are not one of them. May we suggest you contact the Fredericksburg Visitors Center for a list of local venues at 830-997-6523.
Are You a Pet-Friendly Facility?
We love pets, but due to guest allergy concerns and the unique nature of our cabins, we do not accept any pets on the property, with the exception of “registered service animals”. Emotional support pets are not service animals and we do not accept them. However, we will charge a $500 cleaning fee and evict you immediately without refund if we discover you have brought a pet with you.
I Understand You Serve Breakfast at 9:00 AM, What if I Want it Earlier?
While we are unable to alter the time of our hot picnic basket breakfast delivery, with advance notice we can supply you with a continental breakfast delivered to your room the evening before.
Do I Pay On Arrival or Departure for my Lodging Charges?
Actually, all billing is done ten days prior to your arrival. So if you need to adjust what credit card the billing is to be completed on, we do need to know at least ten days ahead of your scheduled date of arrival. Otherwise, a $35 fee is required to change charges on a stay that was previously billed.
Are You Located Close Enough to Main Street to Walk to the Shopping / Attractions?
We are located two and a half miles from Main Street, so unless you are preparing for a marathon, we suggest a vehicle. But hey, a little exercise can’t hurt right....?
We Want to Utilize the Fireplace When We Stay, Do We Need to Bring Our Own Firewood?
We provide firewood seasonally (November – February) to each guest lodging unit. It is enough firewood for a couple hours of burn time. Additional wood for extended duration can be purchased for an additional fee. March – October we provide firewood for the outdoor firepits only. Lighting a fire indoors while the HVAC system is operating will cause a back draft of smoke into the lodging unit, so unless you have a few hams with you…this is a no-no.
Does Your Front Desk Operate 24 Hours a Day?
No, sorry we need our beauty sleep too! However, we will supply you with a phone number where you can contact guest services at any time for emergencies.
What Time is Check-In and Check-Out?
Check-in is available between 3:00PM and 9:00PM. If you intend to be later than 9:00PM, we ask that you call us that afternoon to make arrangements to have your key available. Check-out is by 11:00AM.
Can I Get an Early Check-In / Late Check-Out?
We always try to accommodate our guests' needs but we are unable to guarantee early check-in or late check-out as we need the opportunity to clean the rooms in between guest stays. Feel free to check with us that day and we can update you if this service is available at the moment.
